What We Believe

Word of God

We believe the Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God, the spirit of God and is the revelation of the Will of God.

There is only one Living True God Eternal revealed to humanity in three persons - Father, Son and the Holy Spirit (Trinity). We believe in the triune nature of God- God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit That Jesus is True God and True Man; was conceived of the Holy Spirit and was born of a Virgin Mary

We believe all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and are in need of salvation.

We believe Salvation has been provided through Jesus Christ for all men. We Believe in the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who came into this world to give salvation for human beings from sin and the after effects of sin and to give them eternal life through His death on the cross, burial and resurrection and we believe that there is no other way to salvation.

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the in-filling of the Holy Spirit is an experience subsequent to salvation, and that it is the will of God that all be filled. That the Holy Spirit is at work today in the Church through the gifts to men His fruits and His anointed Ministers.

We Believe in the medical divine healing of body, soul and spirit. We believe Healing is provided in the redemptive work of Christ and is available to every believer.

The Church

That the Church is composed of such persons who through personal faith in Jesus have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit.

We Believe in the rapture of the Church of Jesus Christ, the reign of Christ over the earth for 1000 years, final judgement, new heaven and new earth. We Believe that the Church as the body of Christ has the responsibility to preach the Gospel, save those who are in sin, heal the sick, break the powers of darkness, liberate those who are oppressed by the devil and build the body of Christ - the Church

We believe the Church consists of all those who have received Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. We Believe that the Church is the body of Christ, comprising of people who have been washed by the blood of Jesus and are redeemed by the sacrificial death of the Lord Jesus Christ irrespective of their religious denomination.

Bodily Resurrection

We believe there shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust. In the bodily resurrection of all the dead, of the believer unto eternal life and the unbeliever unto eternal damnation

We believe in water baptism (immersion) of the Holy spirit and the fruit and gifts of the Holy spirit and the observance of the Lord’s Supper.

That water baptism identified us with death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ so that we die to sin and resurrect into newest of life. And in the baptism of believers as a unique work of the Holy Spirit - an evidence of which is the speaking with heavenly tongues is the Spirit of God gives them utterance. The manifestation of speaking in tongues.

We Believe in the Holy Communion.

Return of Jesus Christ

We believe in the personal, visible, imminent , literal second coming of Jesus Christ

  • That He died on the cross as a sacrifice for us shed His blood for the remission of our sin and rose again. And we believe in the existence of Satan, the deceiver and god of this present world, that he was defeated and judged at the Cross and therefore his final doom is certain.
  • The God made man in His image, that man lost that image as a result of man's sins, that we by our own righteousness are not able to regain the image of God and that man is only restored to that image through personal belief in Jesus Christ and in His redemptive work on the cross of Calvary.
  • In the ministry of the Holy Spirit to glorify Jesus to convict the world of sin and of righteousness and to empower the believer.
  • That Jesus is ascended into Heaven and is seated at the right hand of God in Glory.
  • That we have a responsibility as believers to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ
  • The bible describes hell as real place; it is a place of suffering from God for those who die without accepting Christ. God's desire is that no one be separated from Him for eternity, which is why He sent His Son, Jesus Christ to earth

How to Know Jesus

God's purpose: peace and life

God loves you and wants you to experience peace and life - abundant and eternal. The Bible says ..."We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." - Romans 5:1 (NIV) "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." - John 3:16 (NIV)

"I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." - John 10:10 (NIV)

Why don't most people have this peace and abundant life that God planned for us to have?

The problem: our separation

God created us in His own image to have an abundant life. He did not make us as robots to automatically love and obey Him. God gave us a will and a freedom of choice. We chose to disobey God and go our own willful way. We still make this choice today. This results in separation from God.THE BIBLE SAYS ...

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." - Romans 3:23 (NIV) "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 6:23 (NIV)

People have tried in many ways to bridge this gap between themselves and God. THE BIBLE SAYS ...

"There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death." - Proverbs 14:12 (NIV) "But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear." - Isaiah 59:2 (NIV)
No bridge reaches God ... except one.

God's bridge: the Cross

Jesus Christ died on the Cross and rose from the grave. He paid the penalty for our sin and bridged the gap between God and people.

The Bible says ...
"For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Jesus Christ." - 1 Timothy 2:5 (NIV)
"For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God." - 1 Peter 3:18 (NIV)
"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8 (NIV)
God has provided the only way. Each person must make a choice.

Our response: receive Christ

We must trust Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and receive Him by personal invitation.

The Bible says ...
"Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me." - Revelation 3:20 (NIV)
"Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God." - John 1:12 (NIV)

"That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." - Romans 10:9 (NIV)

Where are you?

Will you receive Jesus Christ right now?

Here is how you can receive Christ:

  • Admit your need (I am a sinner).
  • Be willing to turn from your sins (repent).
  • Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the Cross and rose from the grave.
  • Through prayer, invite Jesus Christ to come in and control your life through the Holy Spirit.(Receive Him as Lord and Savior.)

How to Pray:

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sins. I want to turn from my sins. I now invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as Lord and Savior. In Jesus' name. Amen.

God's assurance: His Word

If you prayed this prayer, The Bible says ... "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. " - Romans 10:13 (NIV)

Did you sincerely ask Jesus Christ to come into your life? Where is He right now? What has He given you?
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast." - Ephesians 2:8,9 (NIV)
Receiving Christ, we are born into God's family through the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit who indwells every believer. This is called regeneration, or the "new birth."

This is just the beginning of a wonderful new life in Christ.

To deepen this relationship you should:

  • Read your Bible every day to know Jesus Christ better.
  • Talk to God in prayer every day.
  • Tell others about Christ.
  • Worship, fellowship, and serve with other Christians.
  • As Christ's representative in a needy world, demonstrate your new life by your love and concern for others

The Lord Jesus Christ Always Obeyed His Father - John 6:38, 8:29; Heb. 10:7 Although He was the Son of God, He learned obedience through suffering (Heb. 5:8) He was obedient even to the point of death (Phil. 2:8) Our Lord Jesus Christ is our pattern for perfection Hence the Believer Should Obey the Lord to have a Good Life.

The many blessings for obedience:

  • Peace and rest - Ps. 37:37; Prov. 3:1-2
  • Prosperity, "Success" - Josh. 1:8
  • Joy - Ps. 40:8; John 13:17
  • Victory over the enemy - Deut. 6:18-19; Ps. 81:13-14
  • Health - Ex. 15:26
  • Long life - Deut. 6:2; I Kin. 3:14

Jesus Only Way To Heaven is an evangelistic ministry is born of the Spirit of God with the purpose of carrying out the commission that Jesus gave to his disciples in the 16th Chapter of Mark verses 15 through 18. “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover". It is the belief of this ministry that Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners.
